External Inputs:

The external inputs of a water collection system refer to the contributions of water through hydraulic works from an emitting river basin to a receiving river basin to meet drinking water requirements. They consist of catchment and reservoir works in the transferring basin, water conveyance infrastructure, and uses in the receiving basin.

The inputs also include contributions for the purchase of bulk water through which contributions are made to the water catchment system.

In WaterProof a user can enter external inputs to the system specifying annual water volume (m3), annual sediment load (Ton), annual nitrogen load (Kg) and annual phosphorus load (kg).
