WaterProof interface

In the previous modules, we explored the concepts and methodologies that support flood-risk assessment within WaterProof. We learned how flood risk is generated, how Nature-based Solutions can help reduce impacts, and how the platform combines flood modeling, economic assessment, and decision-support tools.

Now it is time to put those concepts into practice. In this section, you will become familiar with the WaterProof interface and learn how to navigate the Flood Mitigation module, locate your area of interest, and access the tools used throughout the analysis workflow.

Accessing WaterProof

Learn how to register, sign in to the platform, select your area of interest, and access the Flood Mitigation module to begin configuring watersheds and case studies.

Navigating the Flood mitigation module

Upon entering the Flood Mitigation module in WaterProof, users are presented with three key elements: a side navigation menu, an interactive map, and a list of existing case studies.

The side navigation menu provides access to the different stages of the workflow, including watershed configuration and case-study management.

At the center of the interface, the interactive map provides an immediate spatial reference for the analysis area, displaying delineated watersheds and their associated scenarios.

Below the map, users will find the case-study list, which displays previously created analyses together with basic information such as the study name, associated watershed, DEM resolution, and execution status.

From this screen, users can create a new case study or access an existing one, making it the natural starting point for exploring, comparing, and managing flood-mitigation analyses within the platform.
